The course provides a general overview of the requirements and dangers associated with potentially explosive environments. Content includes basic information on ATEX (European) and IECEx (global) standards, including terminology, equipment marking requirements, protection concepts, ignition sources, area classifications, and critical technical specifications for gases, vapors, and dust.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate their awareness and knowledge of the Types of Equipment Protection Concepts used in Hazardous Areas. The course involves candidates completing Classroom workshops inspections to embed their knowledge and understanding of materials covered.
